Storm Spirit comes to HoN

Heroes of Newerth (HoN) has been updated yet again and patch 1.0.7 has been released. The patch is a mere 30MB and includes a number of balance changes and tweaks as well as the introduction of a new hero, Doctor Repulsor which is based on the Storm Spirit.

Some of the biggest changes to the game are things such as the away-from-keyboard (AFK) detection and the remake and kick timers. The window period for the ‘Remake’ option has now been increased to seven and a half minutes and will now be passed with a 70 percent vote.

The bigger hero changes have balanced out quite nicely now. Heroes such as Arachna, Fayde and Gauntlet have been nerfed (lowered abilities) while heroes in need of a buff (increased abilities) such as Balphagore, Bubbles and Gladiator have been improved.

More and more things are getting improved in HoN and chances are there will be another update today to balance out Doctor Repulsor as new heroes are always a bit overpowered.

There is still no LAN option or map editor as of yet, so the most important things are still yet to come for the spiritual successor of DotA.

The full change log for the patch can be found here.
