LoL Registrations Close on a High

After an extended registrations period, the registrations for the League of Legends (LoL) Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2014 Summer Leg have come to a close. The league closed on 112 entries, a lot more than last year’s 79.

There are many new faces as well as new names coming into the 2014 Summer Leg and it will be interesting to see how things pan out. Of course the groups and matches will be revealed later in the week as there are seven days before the league officially starts.

Two teams have had to retire unfortunately as both teams have been completely taken off of their clan pages. [FLG]Heroes started off in the Winter Leg and managed to come second in their group. /ff Silver Inc. was established late last year and the players have left the clan.

It will be interesting to see how the new and old players will do with the Season Four changes to the jungle, items and champions. Will some new faces rise to the top and be able to beat out the undefeated 2013 DGC champions? Or will eN.Re Vera continue their winning streak through the new season?

The new teams will have to battle it out in the Open Division to stand a chance of making it into the Summer Playoffs, where the top teams from the Open Division and bottom teams for the First Division will battle it out to claim their spot in the First Division.

The Summer Leg games will be a best-of-three, round robin format with each win brining in four points, a draw scores two points and a loss is worth one point. If a team forfeits their game they will receive no points.
