LoL Open Division Getting Tense

There are quite a few teams that are currently undefeated in the League of Legends (LoL) Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2014 Winter Leg Open Division and there are two weeks to go before the end of the leg.

Groups A and D have two teams that have gone undefeated and both games are being scheduled for this week. It will be a very interesting week as we see the best in both groups going up against each other for that elusive first place spot.

Group A:

nAv | Paranoia and iFG.Benched Gods currently have seven wins from seven games each. They were looking to play each other in the final week of the DGL Winter Leg, as they meet up in one of the pick ‘n plays, but due to an operation being scheduled over the final weekend, the teams are now trying to schedule for Sunday 6 July at 8pm. It has not been completely confirmed but this seems to be the date that the game will happen.

Group D:

The match between RyzeAgainst and [dM]Chaotix is the teams’ Week Seven match and therefore must be played this week. It seems [dM]Chaotix can play at any time other than Friday and Saturday. RyzeAgainst has yet to reply, but they have until Wednesday 2 July at 8pm before they start obtaining points as a result of the new match booking rules, the team with the most points will forfeit if the game is not played.

These are important games as they can control which of the teams will be taking the first place finish and get a better seeding within the Winter Playoffs. Teams should make sure that they play every single one of the games allocated to them so that they can gain the most amount of points possible, to hopefully make it into the Winter Playoffs.

For more information on each group, you can find the results logs on the respective pages. Group A and B, Group C and D.
