LoL 2014 Winter Registrations Coming to a Close

The League of Legends (LoL) Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2014 Summer Playoffs are over and the admins are working diligently to bring the finalised results to light, but while they are doing that, the registrations for the Winter Leg are coming to a close.

The registrations currently sit around half the amount from the Summer Leg, but knowing the LoL community here in South Africa, many will leave their registrations until the last second. It is nice to see that the top teams in South Africa are still willing to put pedal to the metal and fight to keep their spots, even though it didn’t seem like some of the players in the Premier Playoffs weren’t quite interested in being in the Premier Division.

The reasoning behind the lack of interest in the Premier Division might just be the fact that the gap between the top players in South Africa and the rest of us is so big, they feel like it will be a waste of time playing in the Premier Division.

It will be quite a tough Winter Leg, especially for those in the Premier Division, trying to go up against eN.Re Vera, who are still undefeated. Many have tried, unsuccessfully to dethrone the team and it is a wonder to see if any team will come as close as Team Immersion have. They still seem to be the only clan that can even stand a chance against the titans of the Premier Division although there is some strong blood rising up the ranks.

With this weekend being the last in the registration period, who will come to challenge the many who are battling it out to gain a spot as one of the top teams in South Africa? If you want to give it a try, you can do so by registering on the DGL website before 11 May.

Team are also reminded that you may now have up to 10 reserves within your team, hopefully making the number of retiring teams a lot less. The Winter Leg will be starting on 19 May and will be finished by 13 July, giving teams just enough time to play in the Winter Playoffs before heading off to the Telkom Do Gaming Championships at rAge.

The 2014 League of Legends Telkom Do Gaming League is sponsored by Razer.
