Hearthstone Gets Singleplayer Adventure

One of the announcements that came from PAX East this weekend was from the Blizzard team behind Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, and the content patch people have been wanting for an age has finally been announced, the Curse of Naxxramas: A Hearthstone Adventure!

Curse of Naxxramas is a new singleplayer adventure and will contain new cards. To get those cards players must undertake five “wings” of the dungeon and battle and defeat the boss at the end of each one.

A total of 30 new cards will be available through the Curse of Naxxramas, and the completion of each win will guarantee you a legendary card.

The Curse of Naxxramas will open over the course of five weeks (one dungeon per week), with the first dungeon being free. From there players will either have to use real money or in game gold to afford the rest of the dungeons, much like the arena mode already in place.

The exact release date for the upcoming singleplayer adventure has yet to be revealed, but one should imagine it will hit clients sometime soon. The addition of new cards may complicate the Hearthstone Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2014 a bit, but hopefully no problems should come of it.
