Hearthstone EU Open Beta Live

Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft open beta is officially live across Europe.

Yesterday, developer Blizzard revealed the launch of open beta across North America before hinting that Europe would soon gain its own access to the free-to-play digital collectible card game.

Hearthstone is Blizzard's incredibly addictive card battler, set within the WarCraft universe. The closed beta test saw well over a million players granted early access to the game - during which time, Blizzard continued to fine-tune the game's look and mechanics.

"Open Beta is still not a final release, and we will be closely monitoring many aspects of the game to ensure a positive play experience for everyone," says Blizzard.

"Please be aware that if smoke starts curling out of our servers due to unexpectedly high demand for Hearthstone, we may have to temporarily disable Open Beta account activations until we're ready to take on more players."

Open beta is currently available to players in North America, Europe [that's us], Australia/New Zealand, Latin America, Southeast Asia, Europe, Korea, and Taiwan, with a separate beta test planned for China.

Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft is scheduled to launch later this year for the PC and Mac, with further plans for Mobile support confirmed.

To be part of the open beta, simply download the game client here, and play for free.
