DGL Registrations Extended Once More

The registrations for the Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2013 Winter Leg have once more been extended due to several unforeseen circumstances.

Gamers who have entered into the DGL will need to wait just a little bit longer to get the Winter Leg underway as the DGL registrations have now been extended to Sunday, 26 May. As a result, the Winter Leg will be starting a week later than originally advertised – 4 June 2013. This gives teams a little more time to practise as well as more time for the DGL to ensure that everything runs smoothly for the duration of the leg.

As was previously reported, a server issue prevented some gamers from logging into the DGL site, registering their teams or even creating new accounts and tickets seem to still be coming in from players and teams who are unable to register.

Rob Hart, DGL Tournament Director, says that the team would rather start off a week later with no issues at all to ensure that gamers across South Africa have an awesome experience.

“Due to the server issues we suffered on the weekend, we decided it is in the best interest of the community to extend registrations until Sunday evening so that the players who could not register do not miss out on all the 'funsies' of the DGL,” he says.

So far, the DGL registrations are looking immaculate with a record number of entries entered into Dota 2, currently standing at 133 teams at the time of writing. Black Ops 2 is following behind it with 82 teams whereas League of Legends is sitting on 75.

Gamers looking to register for the DGL Winter Leg can head over to the DGL website to pick their chosen game to compete for a chance to make history.
