De Jongh Holds Tight in FIFA 13 PC DGL

The FIFA 13 PC Telkom Do Gaming League has come to an end in the Summer Leg and sees Rohan ‘Roebou1989’ de Jongh holding tight at the top of the log, undefeated on 24 points.

De Jongh has been able to win almost all of his games apart from the one draw, giving him a total of 24 points at the end of the Summer Leg. Following closely behind him is Rikus ‘atrophy’ Stemmer on 21 points who suffered just the one loss. Wayne ’Shadow’ Ramsay and Hugo ‘ooogz’ da Silva sit in third and fourth place respectively, each with 20 points on the log. These top players in the Premier Division will be safe from Playoffs, where the top four players will head into the Premier Division.

The bottom four placers in the Premier Division will be heading into the Playoffs to face off against the top four players from the First Division. This means that Mic ‘Chubbchubb’ Chen, Chris ‘Evax’ Noble, Wian ‘RooiDuiwel’ Carstens and Philip ‘IC3_ZA’ Holzapfel will be going into the Playoffs to face off against the best that the First Division has to offer.

While the First Division is not yet complete, as there are eight weeks to contend with there, already things are looking quite clear as Jason ‘SmurFyZA’ Murphy heads the top of the First Division, maintaining an undefeated status throughout the leg. The top three looks pretty solid though because Tiaan ‘S4n0x’ Truter and Lloyd ‘The_Solution’ Hung both still have a game in hand and are at least four points ahead of fourth place. The fourth spot could be between Jody ‘0NightFox0’ Leukes, Garth ‘r3nd3r3d’ Lilley and Orin ‘MistT’ Hanrahan, who have some games in hand but are all very close on points heading into the final part of the Summer Leg.

The Playoffs will consist of eight players (bottom four from Premier Division, top four from First Division) playing best of three in a round robin format. The top four after the Playoffs will head straight into the Premier Division, while the bottom four will go into the First Division. There will also be a First Division Playoff for the players in the bottom half of the First Division and the top two per group in the Second Division. More on those rules can be found on the official rules page.
