Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 3 has been delayed until November, a full two months after the original planned launch.
Far Cry 3 was originally set for release in September for Europe but has now been pushed back to 29 November for Europe and 4 December for North America. So for once, gamers in South Africa will be receiving the game earlier than the rest of the world as European release dates are normally later than the USA ones.
There was no real reason for delaying the project according to most sources but Wikipedia states that the delay is “due to the developers polishing the game”.
From what was on display at E3, it didn’t really look like much needed to be polished up in the game, but an extra two months for more polish might not be the worst thing in the world.
