Senior Producer Leaves Blizzard

First the beta changes for Diablo 3 come out; now the senior producer has left the Diablo 3 team. Things don’t seem to be looking too good for a first quarter release.

Steve Parker, senior producer for Diablo 3 at Blizzard, has announced his departure from both the Diablo 3 project and from Blizzard. According to Parker’s Twitter, he announced the news and added that he has had a great five years with the company.

IGN also reports that Blizzard is looking for a new senior producer to replace Parker.

So who knows whether this sets back the development of the game or not. But Jay Wilson, Diablo 3 game director, was noted for saying on the blog that nobody will remember if the game is late, only if it’s great.
