Final Diablo 3 Class Announced

Blizzard Entertainment hosted its annual BlizzCon event this weekend that showcased and celebrated the history and future of Blizzard games such as StarCraft, Warcraft and Diablo. Of all the things that were featured, the fifth and final Diablo 3 class was perhaps the most anticipated.

The final class announced for Diablo 3 is known as the Demon Hunter. The Demon Hunter seems to be based on the Amazon from Diablo 2 and in the trailer gamers will see a female Demon Hunter using many different range weapons coupled with magic to portray some devastating attacks on her enemies.

Gamers looking to read up on the story behind the Demon Hunter can check it out on the official site.

In addition to the announcement of the fifth class, Blizzard also announced a player vs player (PvP) system for Diablo 3. Gamers will participate in PvP battles choosing the character of their choice with access to all the gear and skills they have accumulated while playing the game in single player or cooperative.

While PvP will not be the ideal place to gather new weapons and armour, gamers will be able to take on their opponents for sheer bragging rights as well as points which will represent how far they have progressed on the path to fame and glory.

One thousand lucky gamers who attended BlizzCon 2010 were also lucky enough to be given Diablo 3 beta keys. This can only signify that the Diablo 3 closed beta will be launched near the end of this year or the beginning of next and implies that the game will see a 2011 release date.
