First and Second Division teams started off leg 3 of the Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) Telkom Do Gaming League displaying great determination and dedication to advance to higher divisions and establish themselves as serious competitors.
In First Division, [DI].Chaos, relegated to First Division from Premier League after leg 1, showed that they are not giving up and are working harder than ever to regain their previous league status. They have won their first match against [iMg]<3 with an outstanding score of 15 – 9 after what was a very heated and competitive match.
ESWAT.CoD4 picks up where they left off in leg 2 by demonstrating consistency through winning their first match against rAw.COD4 14 – 10 after a close and intense battle. Both teams displayed a fantastic sense of sportsmanship toward each other.
Ventus.CoD4 makes their debut on the First Division scene after dominating Second Division in leg 2. They went head to head with sN|CoD4 who has been relegated from the Premier League after leg 2, having only played one leg in Premier League this year. Ventus.CoD4 won the match with an outstanding result of 16 – 8.
AuRa CoD4, also new in First Division, took the victory over =BFB= muPtards with a surprising 14 – 10. It's worth mentioning, however, that the match page where teams arrange their matches has a screenshot that shows that Craig 'CrAiGiSh' Dodd played with a ping of 636. This match page also suggests that Dodd had played with this high ping throughout the entire match as the reserve could not be found to play in his place.
Many teams in First Division view this as the most competitive leg in the division thus far.
In Second Division, [iMg]Vigil, previously known as [iMg]MomentA (renamed in honour of their long time team mate and close friend Kent “Vigil” Pretorius, who passed away earlier this year) has started off the leg with an impressive 15 – 9 victory over [1st]Reborn.
[iMg]Vigil has had some line up changes that seems to have boosted them along with many hours of practicing.
UbS|Feuer Krieger won their first match with a very convincing 17 – 7 over CraK|NuTz after showing great consistency throughout the league. Both teams have started the Telkom Do Gaming League as unseeded teams in Leg 1, working their way to higher divisions.
DevilS’ReBORN started off leg 3 with a massive 22 – 2 victory over FR|E – Endzeit after being relegated from First Division after leg 2 of the league. The team also made some line-up changes before the leg, with high hopes of advancing to First Division once again.
SN||CoD4, captained by female gamer Daniela “Bubbles” Rust, co – owner of the newly created social all girls clan Mixed Chicks, dominated Borg.Sythlords with an 18 – 6 win in their first match of the leg.
Borg.Sythlords had competed in First Division in leg 1 as Borg.Cyclops but had to retire from the league as they had some line-up problems closer to the end of the first leg.
Many teams in First and Second Division have experienced some considerable line-up changes, that for some has proven to be a positive change, but for others a setback.
Competition is tight in First Division yet it seems clear who the strongest teams in Second Division are.
