CoD 4 Summer Leg Premier Playoffs are Underway

The Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) Premier Summer Playoffs started last week for the Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2013, letting the bottom teams of the Premier Division fight for their place against the top teams of the First Division for a spot in the upcoming Winter Leg.
Our playoffs consist of two groups of five teams competing for four spots in the Premier Division. This means that only the top two from each group will make it into the Premier Division for the Winter Leg.

Our playoffs consist of two groups of five teams competing for four spots in the Premier Division. This means that only the top two from each group will make it into the Premier Division for the Winter Leg.

Let’s take a look at the groups:
Group A

  • Just Another Headshot (jAh|THE Gamblers)
  • Roccat SA Online Community Clan (ROCC |GAMEOVER)
  • Deviation Gaming (DvGǂstigMa)
  • The knights who say Ni (NiTeutonic Knights)
  • pRey (pRey.CoD4)

Group B
  • Aero Gaming (AeRo`DiOxen)
  • nAv Gaming (nAv | Insidious)
  • oldschool (OS CoD4)
  • ClanS-SA GaMInG (CSA.Valkyrie)
  • ROCCAT SA Online Community Clan (ROCC |Prodigy)

As for who is going to go through, the knights who say Ni look to be strong contenders in their group, having not lost a game during the entire summer leg, going 6-1-0 in the second division group. As for the slot in the Premier Division from Group A, I have to give the edge to Roccat SA (ROCC | GAMEOVER), being the only other team not to lose a game throughout the Summer leg, going 4-1-0 in the group.

As for group B, the clear frontrunner can only be team oldschool, who managed to pull a perfect 6-0-0 in their group during the Summer Leg. As for the last remaining slot, it looks to be AeRo Gaming (AuRo`DiOxen) looking to take that spot, having played one game so far in their playoff run, taking down nAv Gaming (nAv | Insidiuous) to put themselves at the top of the log in Group B so far.

The Summer Playoffs started last week on 3 April, and teams have until 1 May to play all of their matches.
