CoD4 DGL 2012 Champs Gearing Up



The list of confirmed teams that will be attending the Call of Duty 4 (CoD4) Telkom DGL 2012 Championship at rAge 2012 has been released. Check it out here on the Do Gaming League site, or below.

The CoD4 Champs will see 24 teams converge for the coveted prize money, including five Alienware PC's going to the top team. Here are the teams that will be fighting it out on the weekend of 5 – 7 October at rAge 2012.

Bravado topped the Champions Cup for the last leg with a 2 – 0 victory against BFB Regiment. Despite this loss, Regiment had a brilliant third leg, showing the tremendous growth the team has undergone throughout the year and setting themselves up as a serious contender for the Championships coming up.

Meanwhile, the DGL 2011 Champions, BFB Lard, were ousted out the Cup after their DGL 2011 Championship rivals Bravado beat them 2 – 0. Bravado then went on to face IM with a 13 – 11 win on City followed by a 13 – 6 win on Strike.

IM got to the semi-finals after beating .UbS|pRey in the first round and then PewPew Nou Braai. Eyes were on both teams after their good performances in the First Division, with special focus on UbS after the clan has begun to move to an MGO and has even acquired a European team. But they were unable to move into the Premier League. Their next chance to prove their mettle will come in the Champs.

On their way up, Regiment had also taken out 32B with a massive 13 – 2 win on Strike. 32B bounced back with a 6 – 13 win on Backlot but Regiment ended the game with a 13 – 10 win on Citystreets. 32B's losses in the Cup continued as IM took them out in the battle for third place with a 2 – 1 win. IM took the first win on Citystreets with 16 – 12 while 32B again bounced back, 13 – 9 on Strike. IM sealed the deal at 13 – 10 on Crash.
