Yesterday I found this cartoon on Reddit and had to share. Just too many games employ this logic. In fact, I was working on a piece about Mass Effect 2 (to be published later today) and this cartoon explains in a great way one of my problems with the game.
Talking to the guys at the office, some felt this was one of their frustrations with Modern Warfare 3. I remember the older first-person shooters used to sometimes lead you to dead ends - you had to really puzzle out the map. Things seem too linear these days.
What other games do you think employ this way too obviously?
