There will be two pieces of downloadable content (DLC) for Modern Warfare 3 in August and one of them puts gamers up in a helicopter for the first time.
VideoGamer had an exclusive chat with the developers to chat about “Light ‘Em Up” and “Special Delivery”, the new content heading towards the game this month.
“Light ‘Em Up” introduces the first ever pilotable vehicle in the Modern Warfare series as gamers will get a chance to take to the skies in a Little Bird helicopter providing support to another player on the ground. Apparently the Little Bird has a powerful searchlight that can blind enemies and protect the player on the ground while he searches for intel packages to locate the hostage. It all happens at night so gamers will need to control the helicopter and its searchlight and provide cover for the other player.
The DLC will hit the Xbox 360 first and Elite members will be able to access the DLC in a few weeks. PlayStation 3 uses will need to wait until September and those foolish enough ot play it on PC will have to wait even longer before they can get their hands on that helicopter.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be dropping in November which means there won’t be much DLC left for Modern Warfare 3 so it’s good that the development team is bringing out all the stops now.
