Call of Duty Elite Snatches Two Million Users

According to an article on Gamasutra, Activision has grabbed just over two million users for the beta sign-ups of Call of Duty Elite.

Dan Amrich, Activision public relations recently released the number in his personal blog and told users that they should still sign up.

“Don’t be discouraged by the big number, thinking you shouldn’t bother because they already have enough people – two million volunteers among 30 million Call of Duty players is a small amount. More would be even better,” he says.

The Call of Duty Elite service will offer players stat tracking, video sharing and advanced match making. Those who pay the monthly fee for this service will also receive additional downloadable content.

The beta for Call of Duty Elite kicks off next month on 14 July and will support Call of Duty: Black Ops as well as the official launch alongside the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 in November.
