Call of Duty 2 is a 2005 first-person shooter video game,and the second instalment in the critically acclaimed Call of Duty series.
It received raved reviews, graphics and sound were widely praised and the reactions to the regenerating health system were mostly positive.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released in 2007 and broke away from the World War II setting of previous games in the series and was instead set in modern times.
The game play was cited by reviewers to bring the genre to 'a new level of immersion and intensity that we had never seen before,' with many singling out the game's multiplayer saying "it's the multiplayer mode that solidifies the game's instant-classic status".
While Call of Duty 2 catapulted the franchise into the world of competitive e-Sports, the original Modern Warfare redefined the genre and served as one of the Telkom Do Gaming League's premier titles for over six years.
