After the second week of matches in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 DGL 2012, brought to you by Megarom and Monster Energy, the results are beginning to hint towards how things will look in the end of this seeding leg. The results can be viewed here (click on 'results log') but what follows are some highlights.
Alienware is sponsoring five PC's to the MW3 the DGL 2012 Championships.
With most of the teams in Group A having played three games (Pick and Play matches included) the top spot is still tightly contended between FFL.eXe and Monster Energy Gaming (mG). Both of these teams have been pulling significant scores in their matches, with 24 – 0 victories this last week against EZC<-MW3-> and [eViL][TeSA] respectively, and a 22 – 2 win for FFL against [eViL][TeSA] last week while mG enjoyed a 20 – 4 win against =F8N=GSE.
With SAPS*ES! pulling out of the leg early and these scores in mind, it looks like the real decider for Group A will take place in Week 4 when FFL and mG face each other.
Megarom has sponsored R50,000 to the DGL 2012 Championships.
Group E is still sitting quite tight with 32BRed, [DAC]From The Ashes and reN || Renegades with equal points and wins. The only thing separating them right now are rounds differences. 32BRed and reN are due to face this week while 32BRed and DAC face in week 4. Week 5 sees DAC and reN match up so the next few weeks are going to be exciting in this Group, with this week's game is probably the most important game in the leg here.
Group P is starting to heat up as two teams ([A10] and SAPS*DJV) have pulled out, leaving the rest of the four teams to battle it out. AE'Vicious managed to keep themselves in a comfy first position this last week as they beat [DzG]Masters, 19 – 5. However, the difference is they have now played four games while Lama|MW| and NCX1 have still only played three.
Those two teams face this coming week. With NCX1 already having played AE'Vicious and won 14 – 10, and Lama still due to face AE'Vicious in week 4, a lot depends on this game between Lama and NCX1. If Lama wins both games they will end up at the top; if NCX1 wins their game against Lama and a game against [DzG]Masters in the last week (which they have a great chance of taking) they could take the top. Lama will therefore need to work the hardest.
Monster Energy is sponsoring R10,000 to the DGL 2012 Championships
We're seeing some teams pulling away in the rest of the groups now as well with BR|Razerz enjoying a two point lead in Group B and Impi enjoying a three point lead in Group D. Nvrland`tomorrowland has a 2 point lead in Group F and aE Blue a two point lead in Group G.
The |KK|Knights are leading in Group K while BoB m|E|s are enjoying the top spot in Group L. Bravado is topping Group O while the rest of the teams are battling it out with equal points, except BoB~101~ who is trailing at the bottom. It's going to be interesting to see how things equal out in that group in the coming weeks.
