Ghosts Patch Reduces RAM Requirement

New patch removes 6GB RAM requirement for Call of Duty: Ghosts, reveals Infinity Ward.

The announcement comes as welcomed news, with many gamers previously left asking why the game ever needed 6GB of RAM to work on the PC.

The patch stands at 450MB for the PC version and downgrades the memory requirement from 6GB to 4GB which is fitting considering the game requires much less during play, even with all visual settings turned up to maximum.

While an official change log isn’t available, the patch also adds e-Sports rules to the game and and a new Broadcaster mode, which allows users to record videos from first-person, third-person, and over-the-shoulder viewpoints.

Activision recently announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts generated $1 billion in worldwide revenue on launch day.
