#CODeSports this Thursday

The #CODeSports Insta-Clash Cup will kick-off on Thursday, 27 March when Premier Division joint-winners eN.Blaze take on newcomers SAO| Rangers in round one’s only matchup of the single elimination tournament series.

Nine teams registered for the knockout competition which sees seven of the aforementioned teams automatically progress to round two under a standard 16 team elimination bracket system.

The winner of the match will go on to face -xG-Esport [eXecutables] in round two, sometime around the 27 – 28 March.

Round two sees impi(Ghosts) meet Premier rivals eN.Frost.

The teams last met during match week five with Energy eSports managing a comfortable 2-0 victory, 13-5 and 13-3 on Overlord and Warkawk respectively.

Unfortunately for impi, they enter the tournament after suffering a 2-0 defeat to -xG-eXe while Frost closed off their Summer Leg campaign with an impressive win over another impi line-up, impi~eVe~ZA|Dragons.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the bracket, bvd COD:Ghosts go head-to-head with Energy’s Open Division outfit eN.Rival.

Rival currently sit second in Group B behind a ‘returning’

While Bravado stand firm favourites to take the fixture, the Insta-Clash Cup winners come off the back of a bitter defeat, having lost to eN.Blaze in the closing week of the league competition to share top of the Premier Division table.

#CODeSports is an internationally recognised competitive rule set available in-game, currently being used in the console leagues within the DGL.

It’s the same rule set being used at this weekend’s Million Dollar Call of Duty: Ghosts World Championship in Los Angeles, California.
