Telkom Do Gaming Launches Battlefield Bad Company 2 Servers

Telkom Do Gaming has launched four servers for the beta version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which is due to be released in March allowing up to 128 gamers to simultaneously play the game online.

The beta client was released last night at 7pm and Telkom Do Gaming had significant downloads, which continued right into the early hours of this morning.

The beta client can be downloaded here using local bandwidth.

EA studio DICE has been hard at work on the server software and released three updates last night alone.

There have been significant challenges which continue to be experienced around the world by many gamers including gamers’ clients crashing or hanging when they try to select a server.

If gamers click 'Play Now' in the beta client, the game will randomly connect them to any server, which could be local or international. As a result, the Telkom Do Gaming servers have been extensively used by international gamers as well. Telkom Do Gaming has therefore begun to block international users from servers One and Two, ensuring that these servers are available to local users only.

Given that the game is in Beta release, the challenges are not surprising and DICE is actively addressing all the challenges. Gamers are requested not to contact Telkom Do Gaming or SGS about challenges with the beta client.
