Battlefield 4 Out Friday



Upcoming first-person shooter Battlefield 4 will launch Friday, 1 November.

EA and DICE's flagship shooter is the sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and will release this Friday for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360 with pre-order customers able to pre-download the game from tomorrow, Tuesday, 29 October.

Battlefield 4 features several changes compared to its predecessor. The game's heads-up display is much the same, composed of two compact rectangles.

Battlefield 4 is powered by the Frostbite 3 engine and will feature fully destructible landscapes sprawled across sevendifferent game modes and 10 competitive maps.

Players can now use dual-scoped weapons, including weapons with different firing modes and in addition, players will have more survival capabilities, such as countering melee attacks from the front while standing or crouching, shooting with their sidearm while swimming, and diving underwater to avoid enemy detection.

The game is available for pre-order in Standard and Deluxe Edition for R404.09 and R485.09 respectively on Origin.
