EA Halts Work on BF4 DLC

Electronic Arts is done with all future Battlefield 4 expansions until the current issues spread across all major platforms can be resolved.

According to Polygon, in response to the growing number of complaints, the Swedish developer is halting any progress on additional BF4 projects and expansion downloadable content until the problems are resolved.

The company has openly acknowledged that Battlefield 4 is a mess and said that DICE is working "non-stop" to update it.

Even EA CEO, Andrew Wilson, has come out and publicly apologized for the issues in BF4.

"We have had our challenges with stability issues on Battlefield 4, and the DICE team is 100 percent focused on understanding and resolving the problems that some players have been having," says Wilson.

This announcement comes off the heels of an early release of the Battlefield 4: China Rising expansion pack for Premium players.

"Since Battlefield 4 China Risingexpansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfil our promise to deliver it this week, but we're not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4," says EA.

"We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right."
