[SSG]Maersk Secure Premier Spot

[SSG]Maersk has had a successful season so far in the Battlefield 4 (BF4) Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2014 Summer Leg, and have continued their success during the Summer Leg Playoffs.

The Super Serial Gamers Side is the first team to secure themselves a Premier Division spot for the Winter Leg thanks to their current 3 – 0 – 0 standing and the unfortunate retirement of [TE]Infamous from the Summer Playoffs. This leaves only one match left for [SSG]Maersk against their brother side, [SSG] Panda Bandits, who look to be strong contenders for the other Premier Division spot in Group A.

Vaughan “TheVovo” Robey, captain of the [SSG]Maersk side, is happy with his teams progress, but feels like the team will have to continue to raise its game in order to compete against the top teams.

“We qualified for Premier Division last year for Battlefield 3, but never got the chance to actually play in Premier Division. We also just missed out on the Do Gaming Championships as we were seeded ninth, but we would have been up against it anyway, as the Championships were serious business.

When asked about how the team would fair in the Winter Leg, Robey felt that the [SSG]Maersk has not done badly at all against higher quality opposition, but a lot of work still needs to be done if victories are to be gained.

Having already qualified for Premier Division, [SSG]Maersk plan to just enjoy their final match against [SSG] Panda Bandits, which is scheduled for early next month.
