BF4 8v8 Summer Playoffs Detailed

The Battlefield 4 (BF4) 8v8 Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2014 Summer Leg is in its final week of play, as teams make their final effort to get those crucial wins that could make or break where they land up for the Winter Leg.

Teams must now look towards the Summer Leg Playoffs, which allows the top teams from the lower divisions to compete with the less successful sides in the upper divisions for a right to their spot.

The Playoffs will start in a few weeks time on 8 April, and teams will be have to be prepared for a gruelling task, as there are always many matches to be played, thanks to the round robin format.

For the Premier Division Playoffs, teams who ended in positions seven to ten in the Premier Division will be joined by the top two teams in each group of the Open Division to fight for four Premier Division spots in the Winter Leg.

Whoever is unsuccessful during the Summer Leg Playoffs will be joined by the third and fourth place finished from the Open Division groups to form First Division for the Winter Leg.

The Winter Leg Division sizes are:

  • Premier Division: 1 Group of 10 Teams.

  • First Division: 2 Groups of 10 Teams.

  • Open Division: 4 Groups of 10 Teams.

Teams that need to make roster changes will have to do so before the start of the Summer Leg Playoffs, as the rosters will be locked for the duration of the Playoffs.
