BF4 8v8 Premier Playoffs Underway

The Battlefield 4 (BF4) 8v8 Telkom DGL 2014 Winter Leg Premier Playoffs kick off today, as teams begin their bid to try and get themselves into the Telkom Do Gaming Championships(DGC) later this year.

The Premier Playoff definitely applies the most pressure on teams to perform, so that they can ensure their spot in the Premier Division for the next DGL Leg. Not only that, the top two teams from each playoff group will advance to the DGC Playoffs, where they will meet with the winners of the Breakthrough Playoffs and some First Division teams to fight for a right into DGC.

It will be a long road ahead for all the teams involved, so let’s take a look at the groups:

Each team will have to play the rest of the group before the Playoffs come to a close on 24 August, so teams are asked to be proactive in organising their matches.

In Group A, BzK-Furia will be the team to beat, even though they had a disappointing Premier Division run for the Winter Leg, they have managed to fight their way through a Playoff before, and definitely have some fight left in them.

Group B is a bit of a mixed bag, with the [NSD]Retribution team leading the pack in terms of competitive experience. There are definitely some potential upsets in this group however, as puLse.Emerge and [dM]ReCoil might just upset a few teams before the Winter Leg Playoffs are over.

One thing is for certain, we will be seeing a lot of BF4 action before we even get to the Telkom Do Gaming Championships later in the year, so make sure to stay tuned for the latest updates and results.
