The eLement – rAge side has come a long way in the Battlefield 3 (BF3) Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) this year, and their steady improvement throughout the year has turned them into a formidable team as they enter the Telkom Do Gaming Championships (DGC) later this week.
eLement – rAge started out their DGL year as team =ASF=Aquila in Premier Division, and struggled in the Summer Leg against the strong Premier Division sides. Ending the Leg in seventh position with a 4 – 0 – 5 tally, they were forced to fight for their lives in Group A of the Premier Summer Leg Playoffs.
The Summer Playoffs were ultimately successful, as they managed to best BzK-Furia and take poll position in Group A, securing themselves a Premier Division spot for the Winter Leg. It was during this break that the =ASF=Aquila side moved over to eLement – Gaming to become their new BF3 side, eLement – Lithium.
Under the new banner they soon showed form they had yet to show in the DGL, and took down more than one Premier Division side they had lost to in previous Legs, and ultimately ended the Winter Leg with a podium finish, and secured third place with a 7 – 0 – 2 tally.
Since the end of the Winter Leg they have been taking part in the Never Say Die (NSD) BF3 Invitational, where they took down [NSD]Sons of Liberty’s side in the second round of the competition. The NSD squad fought their way through the lower bracket, and face eLement – Lithium tonight in the grand final of the Invitational.
eLement – rAge is undeniably one of the teams to watch this year at the DGC, as their steady improvement in consistency and performance has made them a formidable side. If they bring their A – Game this weekend, we could see eLement – rAge firmly in a podium finish by the end of the week.
