Battlefield 3 Server outages due to Suspect Activity – Double XP event delayed.

It seems that Dota 2 is not the only game being affected by malicious activity in recent times, as yesterday, EA announced on its Battlefield Twitter account that their current BF3 and Battlelog outages have been due to malicious activity on their back – end. Here’s the tweet:

Shortly after, it was announced that the planned event to give users double experience between 9 and 13 May has been delayed, possibly due to the current server problems. Here’s the announcement:

Early this morning was the last we had heard back from the Battlefield team regarding the problem as they Tweeted that they are still trying to solve the problem, and linked us to to this post on the Battlelog forums where they are giving updates on the problem.

Hopefully these problems will be resolved before the Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2013 Battlefield 3 Winter Leg is due to begin. Do you think the problem is malicious? Let us know your thoughts.
