Battlefield 3’s Armored Kill update is heading to PC according to the BattleLog blog and the update should have been rolled in already as of 10:30 am South African time. These updates can take up to 24 hours to be properly implement on PC though whereas consoles can take as little as six hours to implement.
As result, gamers probably won’t be able to play a lot of Battlefield 3 from the update as the game backend needs to perform scheduled server maintenance.
As for the change, there are some interesting developments. The Armored Kill gunship has been tweaked in both Rush and Conquest modes because it seemed to be too overpowered and spawned too fast. There is also a new option to remove the minimap in Hardcore mode which some gamers may enjoy.
Interestingly enough, before this update, any knife takedowns on the server that happened at the exact same time as another knife takedown would result in the receiving player not taking any damage due to the animation played. This has been fixed now.
