DGL Registrations Close this Weekend

The Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2013 Winter Leg registrations are set to close this weekend on Sunday 26 May.

The registrations have been extended twice for the Winter Leg due to a server error which resulted in many players being unable to join, create teams or even create accounts. Now that all the bugs have been worked out and the gremlins have been removed, we can look towards kicking the Winter Leg off on the new start date, 4 June.

The week between registrations closing and the Winter Leg's start will see teams from the Summer Leg across all the games being sorted out into their respective divisions. The top four from most games in the Summer Leg will be maintaining a Premier Division spot, while the top half of the First Divisions will be joining the Premier Division for the Winter Leg. It’s sure to be an exhilarating leg as there are many rivalries and grudge matches to come over the eight weeks that the DGL lasts.

Teams will be competing with each other over the next eight weeks to determine who the top teams are in games that will be taking place at least once a week. Players are advised to watch the Do Gaming and Do Gaming League Facebook pages for more information on live streams.

At the time of writing, Dota 2 has broken and exceeded all DGL records by having 143 teams registered for the Winter Leg with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and League of Legends at a good total too, with 87 and 78 teams registered respectively.

If you have not yet registered for the Winter Leg of the DGL, you can head over to the games page and register before the cut-off date to become part of South Africa’s largest competitive leagues.
