Battlefield 3 Premier Playoffs Almost Over

With a lot of the matches in the Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2013 Battlefield 3 Premier Summer Playoffs already done and dusted, our groups have taken shape with some teams rising to the top to claim their Winter Leg spot in the Premier Division.

[b]Group A: [b]

  • BerZerK Gaming (BzK-Furia)
  • Advanced Special Forces (= ASF=AquilA)
  • Advanced Special Forces (=ASF=Hawks.ECS)
  • HyPrXtreme (HpX | D.E.M.O.N.S)

With only three matches left to play in group A for the Summer Playoffs, =ASF=AquilA are already looking good to keep their Premier Division hopes alive, sitting at 2 – 0 – 0 in their pool with only one game left to play. Their brother team, =ASF=Hawks.ECS, is desperately looking for a win in their final match if they are to make the Premier Division, currently being 0 – 0 – 2 in the group, leaving them in third place.

BzK-Furia are currently second in Group A with one win under their belt, but with both HpX | D.E.M.O.N.S and current leaders =ASF=AquilA still to play, they will have to maintain their form if they are going to see themselves promoted for the Winter Leg.

The Battlefield 3 DGL 2013 is sponsored by EA

Group B:

  • IconiK Gaming (=iK=Syntax)
  • PewPew (PewPewRampokkers)
  • Strength in Brotherhood ([SiB] Hammer)
  • GRRR Squad ([grrr] Baggers)

Group B is all but done, with only one crucial game left to play. =iK=Syntax, after conquering First Division in the Summer Leg, have shown that they have what it takes to be in the Premier Division, managing to pull a perfect 3 – 0 – 0 in Group B, guaranteeing them a Premier spot in the upcoming Winter Leg. [grr]baggers, even though they played exciting games during the Summer Playoffs, look to be making their way to First Division in the Winter Leg as they are unfortunately bottom of the log in Group B.

Our deciding match in Group B will be between PewPewRampokkers and [SiB]Hammer, the match scheduled to be played on Monday 29 April. Both teams are currently tied for second place in Group B with both teams being on five points each. That means that whoever is the winner of this last match will be promoted to Premier Division for the Winter Leg, a fact both teams are well aware of.

With two weeks left to play the remaining matches, who do you think will take the remaining Premier spots?
