Battlefield 3 Open Division Shaping Up

The Open Division for the Battlefield 3 (BF3) Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2013 Winter Leg seems too full of teams hungry to prove their worth and make it into the higher Leagues in upcoming seasons. With seven undefeated sides so far throughout the three Open Division Groups, it looks like the competition is definitely going to heat up in the upcoming weeks.

It is also wonderful to note that no teams have retired so far in the Winter Leg as we reach our halfway point, an achievement in consistency that is rarely seen in the lower Divisions. The Battlefield 3 DGL continues to be a textbook on how players and teams should organise and play their games, something they can all be proud of.

Group A has two undefeated teams so far, both with three wins apiece. BzK – Anarchy and HpX | T.R.O.L.L.S have had a great start to their Winter Leg, and are looking to be hot contenders for the Breakthrough Winter Playoffs.

The Battlefield 3 DGL 2013 is sponsored by EA.

After having a bye in their first week, =iK=Syntax are bouncing back nicely from disqualification after the Summer Playoffs due to one of their players being caught by SteamPunk to be cheating. This did not dishearten them however, and are currently 2 – 0 – 0 in Group B of the Open Division, with the only other undefeated team in Group B being [CC]-Cream, who currently lead the group.

Group C seems to be the most highly contested, as there are currently three undefeated sides, all of whom sit at the top of the group. –BFC—s|- Sisera, HUBF3, and TcRTaccor Elite have yet to draw or lose in their group, and have to face off against each other in the coming weeks. There are sure to be some tense and exciting matches coming from Group C in the future.

With Week Four being our halfway mark for the Winter Leg, which teams do you think will remain undefeated by the end? Is =iK=Syntax not going to lose a game in the 2013 DGL? Comment below and let us know.
