Battlefield 3 Open Division Deciding Weeks

Our Open Division for the Battlefield 3 (BF3) Telkom Do Gaming League (DGL) 2013 Winter Leg is well underway, with two of our three groups containing at least two undefeated teams with only two weeks remaining.

HpX | T.R.O.L.L.S is 6 – 0 – 0 in Group A and has played all of their matches besides their pick ‘n play. They only way that they could possibly not win this group is if they lose their pick ‘n play, and the second place team, BzK-Anarchy, win theirs. That would result in both teams ending the group on 25 points in a first place draw, but seems unlikely since HpX | T.R.O.L.L.S has yet to drop a match.

It is currently a draw for Group B, as =iK=Syntax and [CC]-Cream both look primed to be able to take the top spot in the group. =iK=Syntax, although in Open Division for the Winter Leg, actually managed to go undefeated throughout the Summer Leg and Summer Playoffs, but due to one of their (now ex) players caught cheating by Punkbuster, were relegated to Open Division for the Winter Leg. They have still yet to take a loss in the DGL 2013, and are currently 17 games without loss this year.

=iK=Syntax are actually facing off against [CC]-Cream later this week in what is most likely going to be the deciding match for Group B, but as of yet, has yet to be confirmed.

The Battlefield 3 DGL 2013 is sponsored by EA.

It seems this week is the deciding match for Group C as well, as the two currently undefeated sides in that group, TcRTaccor Elite and –BFC—s|- Sisera, are also due to meet head to head in their Week Seven match. With both teams currently at 5 – 0 – 0 and only one match to play after they meet, both teams will be hungry for the win this week to ensure the top spot in the group.

Who do you think will win this week’s matches? Are the groups looking the way you thought they would, or have there been some unsuspected upsets along the way? Share your thoughts below.
