Before reading the rules below please make sure that you understand the following:

All rules found within the Do Gaming League General RulesDo Gaming League Terms and Conditions and Do Gaming Terms and Conditions (terms of use) are inherited by players taking part in the Do Gaming League. Should you find conflicting rules or unclear information, it is your responsibility to contact the DGL for clarification before acting on the rules found within.

The Head Admins decisions are final and can even overrule the rules stated in all documents if deemed necessary. Head Admins have the authority to give out default losses for single games and matches. Head Admins can also ban a player from the tournament if deemed necessary.

The Do Gaming League Committee does not have the power of a Head Admin but is there to offer guidance and support to players that may require it.

Due to the league taking place over a long period of time, emergency rule changes might take place. Players are expected to keep up to date with the rule set at all times (It is the responsibility of the captain to make sure his players are up to date with the rules and fully understand them).

1. League Maps

For the Winter Leg we will be using the official Blizzard 1vs1 ladder maps.

2. Race Selection

2.1 Players must fill in the race they will be using in their Do Gaming League profile(this can be found on the "General" tab while editing your profile).

2.2 Players switching races during the league may only use the newly selected race 24 hours after updating the race in their Do Gaming League profiles.

NB# Valid race selections are as follows: Terran, Protoss, Zerg and Random

3. Map Elimination and Selection

Map selection will proceed as follows:

3.1 Each player is allowed to completely forbid one map from the map pool, for the duration of the match.

3.2 Players take turns to eliminate one map each, until the final ‘Starting Map’ is left.

3.3 Every subsequent map will be chosen by the previous map’s loser, taking into account that a forbidden map may not be chosen.

3.4 The players will decide amongst themselves who eliminates first. If an agreement cannot be made as to who eliminates first, the two plays are allowed to use a third party mediator to perform a coin toss. Both players must agree to the use of the mediator in question. A respected and unbiased individual is to be used as the mediator.

3.5 You may not play the same map twice in a single match.

4. Tournament types

StarCraft II: Best of Three.

Note: In a "Best of Three" match, a total three maps will be played per match. A minimum of two maps must be played. The third map will be used as a tie breaker. A third map only needs to be played if both players are tied with one map win each.

5. Screenshots and Demos

5.1 All replays need to be saved according to the following format:

‘Player1_Player2_map_Game Number’ (Example: iNFy_Equinox_Scrap_2).

Note: The DGL can at any point request these replays. Please do not send these in unless requested by the admin.

6. Server Providers

6.1 The default service provider is: European Battle.Net Server.

7. Spectators and live broadcasting

7.1 A spectator may only watch a match if both league players give permission.  By allowing a spectator to watch the match, both players lose their right to dispute any spectator related issues such as screen sharing. .

7.2 By default, authorised broadcasters may spectate, but only if they are broadcasting the match in question. Both players have the right to disallow a broadcaster from spectating the match. However for special events (such as finals), the league administrator has ultimate authority and can overturn the players decision to disallow the broadcaster from spectating.

8. Player connection issues and disconnections

8.1 A disconnection within the first four (4) minutes of play time will result in a rematch.

8.2 A disconnection after four (4) minutes must be handled as follows:

  • 1)  From recent replays select the game that was being played, right-click on the replay and select “Recover Game”
  • 2) When in Menu select the opponent you were currently playing with.
  • 3) Click Recover Game, a time menu will start with the end time of the game. Select to start the game 5 seconds before the end of the game.
NB: It is important to do so because starting the game at the end can result in the game calling up the victory screen
  • 4) The game should resume with the correct parties in place, should it be required please select the party to their correct positions.

8.3 Any disputes should be brought to the tournament official’s attention via email.

9. Prizes

9.1 Players who qualify for prizes will be required to send the Do Gaming League a photocopy of their ID. Players ID numbers must match the ID number on their Do Gaming profile.

10. Relegation/Promotion
