ME2Mass Effect 2 (ME2) has been one of the most anticipated titles for a while and it has finally arrived. This game will emerge players almost instantly from the very first cinematic and manages to keep gamers enthralled in a world that encapsulates the mystique that any sci-fi story should hope to achieve.
From the very beginning, the game shows off its superiority with amazing visuals that look like they came straight out of a movie. The shine and clarity that each and every texture has when moving around will amaze even the most cynic of critics.
The storyline immediately grasps players and will keep them wanting to know more about every aspect of the game.
Players start off as Commander Shepard on the SSV Normandy, which is attacked, leaving the fate of Shepard temporarily unclear. Shepardrd returns, thanks to the efforts of the controversial organisation Cerberus, who is under the watchful eye of The Illusive Man (voiced by Martin Sheen).
Along with Sheen, there are a lot of other brilliant actors cast in ME2. The likes of famous actors such as Seth Green, Carrie-Anne Moss, Keith David and Adam Baldwin all grace the game. The soundtrack in the game provides a dark and yet captivating atmosphere to already fantastic visuals.
Players will find that the movement is quick and fluid and packed full of action. That, coupled with everything else mentioned as well as a captivatingly classic BioWare storyline, could make ME2 the best game of 2010. The game has received huge praise and reviews and is currently the highest rated game on MetaCritic for PC and Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 version, in particular, is currently enjoying a rating of 96 out of 100 based on 55 reviews.
Telkom Do Gaming is running a ME2 competition, courtesy of Electronic Arts, which can be found here.
A full review of the game will follow shortly on Do Gaming.
