A new Total War may be on the way soon as a picture was recently released in an Australian gamer magazine.
The first glimpses of it were seen at NeoGaf where a user pasted a picture of the magazine page. It depicts the first game, Rome: Total War, with a big “II” emblazoned in the middle of the picture (seen below).
The picture was seen in the latest edition of PC PowerPlay magazine, the same magazine which, according to the same NeoGaf post, also revealed the Dark Souls PC edition.
RockPaperShotgun has more on the new Total War as Rezzed will be happening next weekend (6 – 7 July) which is the first PC and indie games show of its kind. According to the post, Creative Assembly will be there offering an exclusive look at plans for the future of the series of Total War.
It seems only logical that another game in the series would be coming out since the first game was hit with such a positive response scoring 92 on Metacritic when it was released back in 2004.
All of the above are still rumours though and many websites are picking up bits and pieces here so there will probably be an update at some point as soon as someone lets the confirmation of the sequel slip.
