EA plans to launch the next iteration of Tiger Woods worldwide in March. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is scheduled for an American release on 26 March and a worldwide release on 28 March.
Interestingly enough, Tiger Woods 14 will be giving the Wii U a skip which means that the development team has more time to focus on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions. It will, as always, make use of the motion control for each console in the Kinect and PlayStation Move.
For the first time in Tiger Woods franchise history, the game will be bringing in the LGPA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) and will also feature a brand new game mode called Legends of the Majors. The new mode allows players to travel back through time to relive the rich history of golf by matching up against golfing legends such as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Tiger Woods. Players will work through the legends in different eras and be able to take them down to earn a seat at the table of legends.
Another nice feature in the game that has also never been done before is night golf. Players will be able to tee up after the sun goes down and watch their drives soar through the night with illuminated golf balls.
Tiger Woods 14 brings back Country Clubs as well where players can form and join clubs of up to 100 members and be able to host online tournaments and track statistics to create the ultimate competitive environment. Tiger Woods DGL here we come!
