But Sony has now confirmed that the production of the PS2 has been ceased worldwide.

PlayStation 2 The PlayStation 2 has officially been relegated to the realm of vintage consoles, as Sony confirms a cease in the console's production.

According to CVG, the PlayStation 2 launched in 2000 and in its 12 years of production sold 150 million units.

The end of the PlayStation 2’s production and recent rumours and speculation point to the expected release of Sony’s next-generation console, the so-called PlayStation 4, codenamed ‘Orbis’, within the next year.

Stick around Christian, my first consoles were the Activision and the Atari 2600. First handheld was one of those Nintendo Donkey Kong clock and watch contraptions.

My fondest memory was the day i got my ps2 and Gta Vice City, hopping onto the first scooter/vehicle i found and Michael Jackson started belting through the speakers.
That moment made me love my PS2.
