Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will now launch one week earlier than initially announced, developer Monolith Productions revealed today.
The upcoming action role-playing game will be available in South Africa on 3 October 2014 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
According to a statement by publisher Warner Bros, the decision to bump up the release date was based on "hearing fans' excitement."
Shadow of Mordor, originally slated to launch on 7 October, is set in J.R.R. Tolkien's iconic fantasy world and features a storyline set chronologically between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Additionally the developer unveiled a new Shadow of Mordor Story Trailer [below] entitled ‘The Blight’ at this past weekend’s annual Comic Con conference.
The new trailer reveals many new story details for the game, including the identity of the mysterious Wraith bound to protagonist Talion, as well as his connection to the Rings of Power and the Dark Lord, Sauron.
