Path of Exile Open Beta

Path of Exile has kicked off into open beta and gamers who are interested in becoming a part of it can head over to the official site and start downloading it.

It’s no surprise then that the Path of Exile website is under extreme load right now as many gamers are heading there to try it out. The game has been described as “the answer to Diablo 3” and has received tons of positive feedback from gamers and reviewers alike.

It's an Action RPG set in a dark fantasy world known as Wraeclast. The game has a strong barter-based online item economy with competitive PvP and ladder races. The best part is that it's completely free to play and will never be a “pay to win” type of game.

There are six playable classes in Path of Exile and they are:

Interestingly, Path of Exile was built by a bunch of New Zealand gamers who are huge Diablo fans and wanted to make the perfect game to kill loads of monsters and earn stacks of loot. So it’s very interesting to see why Path of Exile has remained quite popular because after Diablo 3’s sordid affairs with the lack of PvP and making the game “too hard” and then “too easy”, this may be a clever alternative for those who are missing Diablo in their lives.
