No Multiplayer in BioShock Infinite

It seems that BioShock Infinite will have no multiplayer according to a number of reports confirmed by a tweet.

Ken Levine, BioShock Infinite lead designer, has confirmed via his Twitter account that BioShock Infinite will have no multiplayer modes. In a reply to another user, he basically just copied the question with a quick, soul-crushing answer.

“RT @tha_don_101: @IGLevine can you clear up whether or not Bioshock Infinite will have multiplayer modes? ---Nope.”

A multiplayer mode was never really announced for BioShock Infinite in any case but many gamers may have been expecting it since BioShock 2 came out with a multiplayer mode and there was buzz around the industry water cooler that an online component wouldn’t be completely unheard of.

Strangely enough, there was a delay in the game when it was pushed back to 2013 from 2012 because the development team were having networking issues for multiplayer and then by August the multiplayer modes were completely removed. So for those who were expecting something undercover for multiplayer, it’s not going to be happening.

BioShock Infinite has no confirmed release date yet for South Africa but is expected sometime in February. It will launch on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Good. More time spent on developing a good story and game mechanics. *Mass Effect 3 ending*

I find multiplayer quite boring, and there are no modern games with go MP anyway.
