While Splinter Cell: Blacklist has already been delayed, Ubisoft has said that the PC version will be coming out at the same time as the console version.
This is in contrast to many other Ubisoft titles, especially in the Splinter Cell franchise, where the console versions come out and then the PC version follows a little later. After the initial delay in Splinter Cell: Blacklist where Ubisoft pushed the release date back to 20 August, it was probably assumed by many gamers that the PC version would see a little more delay.
A Ubisoft representative actually confirmed to RockPaperShotgun that the different versions would all be releasing simultaneously.
“The August 20th date is also for the PC version of the game”, he says.
Should we believe Ubisoft this time round? Initially, it denied that Assassin’s Creed III would be delayed on PC and then decided a month later to completely change its tune. Thankfully Far Cry 3 was much better with its release as all of the versions came out at the same time.
