Nintendo Give Tips on Wii U Performance Issues

Some Wii U owners are experiencing slow performance and freezing with their brand new Wii U console – released in the United States on Sunday.

According to CVG, Nintendo is addressing these issues in the help section of the official Nintendo site.

A statement on the site says “We are aware that users are experiencing load times when they launch or switch between applications. We are exploring ways to enhance features for consumers’ overall experience.”

As for the Wii U consoles that are freezing, Nintendo says “instances of system freezing is rare and unlikely to occur.”

If it does freeze, Nintendo has provided these tips:

Reset the system by unplugging the console from the wall socket

Make sure the system is up to date with available system updates
