More People Play Minecraft on XBLA than FIFA 13, MW3

For most of the last four years, the Call of Duty series has been top of the charts. Now, Minecraft has kicked some of the year’s biggest releases out of first place.

Eurogamer reports that Microsoft Live’s activity chart for last week shows that Minecraft’s Xbox 360 Edition has taken first place – meaning more people are playing the pixelated adventure than other gargantuan titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and FIFA 13.

And the world domination continues. Earlier this month, developer 4J studios announced Minecraft had sold over four million copies – making it the best selling XBLA game ever.

The Microsoft Live Activity chart is determined on unique users – those playing the game while connected to Xbox Live.
