Minecraft Adds Fireworks

Mojang is preparing for the next little Minecraft update which should be hitting before Christmas and will be a precursor to the larger 1.5 update coming in the new year.

So far, the current snapshot shows that fireworks have been added, as have enchanted books for enchanting items. There is no sound yet for the fireworks which is a bit of a let-down but it’s not officially launched yet, so maybe give it a little bit of time.

This isn’t the big “redstone patch” that was promised by Mojang though. That will still be coming in January but in the meanwhile the development team decided that gamers needed fireworks for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
