A new report suggests that Microsoft is hard at work building a 7-inch gaming tablet – the Xbox Surface.
According to Eurogamer, the hardware planning for this gaming tablet it already underway.
It will reportedly include high-bandwidth RAM and a custom ARM processor and won’t be capable of running the full Windows.
We don't know what it looks like just yet... so we're guessing its smaller and not a table.
Reports indicate that Microsoft has actually “locked down” some of its Xbox buildings in its Silicon Valley office complex and speculation is rife that this is where the software and games for the Xbox Surface are being developed.
The Verge believes we’ll see the Microsoft Surface before the next-gen Xbox – the so called Xbox 720 – but it’s not clear if the devices will be compatible or released as separate gaming entities.
