Riot Games have announced a new contest, in line with the new Mecha skins that have just been released.
Mecha versus Monster is the name of the competition and Summoners interested in participating will have to make a movie poster showing the clash of your favourite League of legends champions as mecha and monsters. Any champion can be “mecha” or “monster” as long as they look the part.
There are some guidelines, as with all League of Legends (LoL) competitions:
This must be your own work and created specifically for the contest. You cannot borrow another person’s work or part of any creation which is not yours.
The title of your imaginary Mecha vs. Monster film must appear on the poster. You can do this in any style you prefer, but it’s always a good idea to make sure it fits thematically with the rest of the poster.
Only hand-drawn artwork allowed
Entries should be a minimum of 640 x 360.
A full list of rules can be found on the LoL website. Submissions must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org with the image attached. Links to images hosted on an existing web page will not be considered. The deadline for submissions is 31 July, so get cracking.
“Well what about prizes?” you ask, the artists behind the six favourite entries will receive the following:
Limited-edition Mecha Splash Art posters with chromium visual effect
Brand new Mecha Aatrox and Mecha Malphite skins + Champions
2000 Riot Points.
It would be great to some of the local South African Summoners taking part in this competition, there is some great talent out there so don’t forget to send in your entries before the deadline.
