Lohan Files Lawsuit over GTA V 'Likeness'

Lindsay Lohan is confirmed to be suing Rockstar Games, developer of Grand Theft Auto V, for allegedly using her image without permission.

The Mean Girls actress, who turned 28 on Wednesday, has finally hit the video game makers with a civil lawsuit, nearly seven months since the troubled actress first threatened legal action back in December 2013.

The lawsuit was filed yesterday, Wednesday 2 July in a Manhattan court and identifies GTA V character Lacey Jonas as the “unequivocal" reference to Lohan.

The fictional character is accused to have copied everything from Lindsey’s likeness to her clothes.

The suit claims that “The portraits of the Plaintiff (Lohan) incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff’s clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years.”

Furthermore, according to the case documents, one mission shows the alleged Lindsay-inspired character at a building that is believed to resemble the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood, 'a place where the plaintiff once lived and often frequents'.

Rockstar Games is yet to comment on the allegations.
