Hitman Movie gets Reboot

Hollywood news reporter Deadline has revealed that Paul Walker (Fast and the Furious; Into the Blue) will replace Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47 in the upcoming Hitman reboot.

Paul Walker

Fox International is reportedly behind the reboot with Michael Finch and Skip Woods (A Good Day to Die Hard) providing the script. In the director’s chair, Commercial/Advert director Aleksander Bach is set make his big screen debut with production rumoured to be starting this June in Berlin and Singapore.

No release date has been confirmed but personally, the decision to distance themselves from Timothy Olyphant is a poor one. The 2007 reboot saw a dismal intake at the box office and as-is with most Game-Movie adaptations the final product was disappointing. However, Olyphant’s performance was admirable if anything and was probably the film’s only saving grace.

Then again, I hate everything, so what do I know.
